JOB TITLE: Logistician II
JOB LOCATION: NSWC Crane, IN
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
SkyBridge Tactical is looking for highly qualified Logistician II to Provide programmatic and Life Cycle Logistics support for current Electro-Optic Infrared (EO/IR) projects managed by the Electro-Optic Technology Division (EOTD) including programmatic services, procurement documentation development, budget formulation, financial execution and tracking, and technical writing.
Responsibilities
- Processing and receiving of documentation associated with Visual Augmentation Systems received for acceptance testing, repair and reissue to the DoD end users
- Updating databases to receive material, prepare material movement documentation (DD-1348, DD-1149 or other DOD and local documents and forms), and remove systems from record to ensure asset visibility throughout the material movement process.
- Performing other Receipt, Segregation, Storage and Issue (RSSI) duties as required to ensure items returned are properly tracked and recorded.
- Preparing periodic and ad hoc reports to provide updated status of transactions performed and any issues encountered/resolved.
- Attending meetings, as required, and participating in Working Groups to provide data, input or recommendations on processes and process improvements.
- Updating databases to receive material, prepare material movement documentation (DD-1348, DD-1149 or other DOD and local documents and forms), and remove systems from record to ensure asset visibility throughout the material movement process.
- Performing other Receipt, Segregation, Storage and Issue (RSSI) duties as required to ensure items returned are properly tracked and recorded.
- Preparing periodic and ad hoc reports to provide updated status of transactions performed and any issues encountered/resolved.
- Attending meetings, as required, and participating in Working Groups to provide data, input or recommendations on processes and process improvements.
- Utilizing the Shop Workload Management System (SWMS) or other required Government Provided Production Management database, the contractor shall schedule VAS assets received for repair, or new assets received for acceptance testing, through appropriate lab, monitor the progress of the repairs and make appropriate entries in the database.
- Submitting Shop Orders through appropriate systems, making all required entries to capture repairs and condition code changes, and closing out the shop order upon completion of work.
- As required, the contractor shall update SWMS plans and processes to reflect actual workload.
- Shall be able to retrieve periodic and ad-hoc data and reports from SMWS to document repair status and trends.
- Assisting in the planning process for current and future years for repairs and lab work requirements using current plans and data obtained from reports pulled from prior years and other historical data.
- Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plan and lead SOCOM PEO-SW technology assignments. Recommend changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. Prepare and implement directives to ensure effective logistics support and establish and enforce standards to ensure that the assigned workforce is properly trained and equipped.
- Updating SWMS plans to include adding new assets received and removing obsolete assets
- Attending meetings, as required, and participating in Production and Planning meetings.
- Collaborating with JXQR Logisticians to receive, issue, and/or transfer assets requiring dual reporting, or that are managed by other programs. Shall then prepare, update and maintain appropriate documentation associated with these types of transactions.
- Provide technical/management leadership on tasks or technical assignments. Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge to be able to develop, initiate, integrate and manage logistics associated with SOCOM life cycle management of equipment.
- Act as the Branch Quality Focal Point (QFP) and assist the Division QFP with document control, implementation, and quality stamps for the Branch. Responsible for Branch quality objectives and report to the Branch Manager and Division QFP. Assist with the creation, review, maintenance and control of Branch quality documentation. Participate in peer reviews of quality documentation as part of the review and approval process.
Qualifications:
- Experienced DOD Logistics, Acquisition and Program Support. Experience in Logistics, Acquisition, Quality, Records Management and Program Support.
- Shall be proficient with computers including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Outlook. Shall be proficient in the use of database applications such as iPDM, SWMS, ERP, and SharePoint.
- Shall be experienced in Inventory Data Base Management and tracking to include receipts, issues, and inventory adjustments using standard and specialized logistics inventory systems including but not limited to Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
- Must be experienced in Life Cycle Management of currently fielded assets and be able to support multiple customers. Must be able to manage all stages of procurement (cradle to grave), Must be able to support current O&MS requirements. Must be able to provide quality management, analytical support, and management of records. Must be able to use information from the above-mentioned applications to prepare reports, trend analysis and quarterly reports.
- Must be able to train others in the use of DPAS.
- Must be able to lead SOCOM PEO-SW assignments.
- Must be able to recommend changes.
- Must be able to function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- Must be able to provide technical/management leadership on SOCOM logistical tasks.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance or Interim Clearance is Required
