What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistician II position at TRISTAR?
TRISTAR is seeking a Logistician II for our government customer in Crane, IN
- The Logistician II will be responsible for coordinating and managing depot parts and supplies
Position Responsibilities:
- Track depot parts and material inventory to ensure appropriate inventory levels
- Coordinate parts orders for depot technicians and engineers through AQMs/buyers
- Develop part lists for orders, research vendors, and obtain quotes for submission to AQMs/buyers
- Track depot repair metrics and generate detailed metrics reports
- Update Integrated Master Schedules using MS Project and Excel
- Revise and maintain work instructions and procedures as needed
- Assist in creating project cost estimates
- Work with Government Production Controllers to prepare shop orders in SWMS
- Require a highly organized and detail-oriented professional that will be tracking parts inventories for the depot and assisting with project planning and management
- Have strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Project and Excel, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Need to be able to quickly learn new project management systems such as SWMS, ERP, and iPDM
- Must be a US Citizen
- An Active Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one
Education and Certification:
- HS Diploma
- AA Degree is a plus
