Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work and experience with solar panel installation. This role involves working on residential and commercial projects, ensuring that solar systems are installed efficiently and safely while adhering to industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops and ground-mounted systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
- Perform high voltage and low voltage electrical work, including fixture installation.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely, including forklifts for material handling.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) throughout the installation process.
- Conduct system tests to verify functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solar Installer or in a similar electrical role.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including high voltage, low voltage, and NEC regulations.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and performing fixture installations.
- Experience using power tools and operating forklifts safely.
- Ability to plumb solar systems correctly for optimal performance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
