UAS Operations Manager (UAS/Drone/UAV)

Skye Link is seeking an UAS Operations Manager & Drone Pilot to assist with coordinating marketing activities as well as day-to-day operations of various drone service projects. This role is best suited for an individual with creative capabilities, is detail-oriented, has excellent communication skills and a passion for drone UAS technology.

This role may begin as a part-time role with the opportunity to develop into a fulltime position for the right individual. Compensation varies dependent on candidate experience level.

Responsibilities:

· Project Management: Manages flight operations by communicating with pilots & contractors to relay mission details, review flight planning, coordinate airspace authorizations, ensure timely data upload, data quality checks Serve as the primary operational point of contact for clients, managing the full lifecycle of projects—from initial planning to project execution and delivery of results.

· Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with the operations, data processing, and drone pilot teams to ensure successful implementation of drone services, meeting project timelines, and delivering quality results.

· Client Success: Coordinates with customers to determine, document and validate project requirements, goals and objectives. Monitor project outcomes, providing post-delivery follow-up, ensuring high client satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for ongoing partnerships and additional services.

· Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to position Skye Link as a leading provider in the drone data space.

· Handles remote pilot onboarding & verifying pilot certification and insurance documents

· Strong Experience and understanding of photography & videography concepts

Qualifications:

• Holds current part 107 certificate
• 1 year experience within the drone industry (inspection & mapping related experience)
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Haves:

· Strong Experience and understanding of GIS, aerial mapping, and lidar technologies.

· Knowledge of key players and trends in the renewable energy and construction sectors

· Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field.

· Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, and/or construction industry

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
