UAS Sales Project Manager
Skye Link is seeking a Sales Project Manager who thrives in a consultative sales environment and excels at both generating new business and overseeing project implementation. This unique role combines business development with hands-on project management, focusing on delivering laser scanning, LiDAR mapping, and aerial photogrammetry services to clients in the construction, surveying, engineering, and renewable energy sectors.
Compensation based on candidate experience level. Base salary commission structure & benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
· Consultative Sales: Proactively seek out new business opportunities, develop leads, and cultivate strong relationships with clients in target verticals, including construction, engineering, surveying, and renewable energy.
· Business Development: Identify and pursue new markets, developing a pipeline of high-value projects and partnerships with potential clients looking for drone-based solutions.
· Client Consultation: Conduct needs assessments and present customized drone solutions, including laser scanning, LiDAR mapping, and aerial photogrammetry, aligning services with client objectives.
· Project Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing the full lifecycle of sales projects—from initial scoping and contract negotiations to project execution and delivery of results.
· Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with the operations, data processing, and drone pilot teams to ensure successful implementation of drone services, meeting project timelines, and delivering quality results.
· Client Success: Monitor project outcomes, providing post-delivery follow-up, ensuring high client satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for ongoing partnerships and additional services.
· Market Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to position Skye Link as a leading provider in the drone data space.
Qualifications:
· Holds current FAA part 107 certificate
· 2 years of experience in consultative sales, business development, or project management, ideally within the drone, surveying, engineering, or construction industries.
· Proven track record in selling technical solutions or services and managing client relationships from initial sale to project completion.
· Experience in working with aerial photogrammetry, LiDAR mapping, laser scanning, or related technologies.
· Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a consultative approach to client needs.
· Ability to collaborate across teams and functions, especially with technical and operational departments, to deliver top-tier results.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of a growing tech company.
· Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for technology and innovation, particularly in drone, aerospace, or data solutions.
Nice to Haves:
· Strong Experience and understanding of GIS, aerial mapping, and lidar technologies.
· Background in building partnerships with national or international companies.
· Experience in navigating regulatory requirements within the drone industry.
· Knowledge of key players and trends in the renewable energy and construction sectors.
· Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or related field.
· Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure, and/or construction industry
· MBA or advanced degree in business, sales, or marketing.
