Leasing Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leasing activities, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintaining effective communication with prospective tenants. This role requires a blend of administrative skills, sales acumen, and knowledge of property management practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property tours and provide detailed information to prospective tenants about available units and community amenities.
• Reports to Manager to perform other duties assigned such as lease audits, unit audits, inventory management
• Work with housing agencies such as Waco Housing, Case Workers and or similar programs that assist residents with affordable housing.
• Complete routine housing paperwork for new move ins and recertifications
• Manage the leasing process from application through move-in, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Negotiate lease terms with prospective tenants while adhering to company policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all leasing activities in the OneSite property management system.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the facilities management team to ensure properties are well-maintained and presentable for showings.
• Assist in marketing efforts to attract potential tenants through various channels, including social media and community events.
• Stay informed about local rental market trends and competitor offerings to effectively position properties.

Experience

• Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service is preferred.
• Familiarity with administrative tasks such as filing, record keeping, and office management is essential.
• Knowledge of property maintenance practices is a plus.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences are required.
• Proficiency in using property management software like Appfolio, OneSite is advantageous

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.72 - $16.14 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
