Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will drive net new growth with high value target prospects. This role is essential for Skyline to achieve expected growth and will work closely with marketing on prospecting strategies, lead generation, lead conversion and overall pipeline build and management. The Business Development Manager will achieve revenue goals and will be responsible for strategic and volume outreach to drive new sales through Skyline. This is a hunter role focused on landing new logos and clients for Skyline.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Will be selling the entire suite of Skyline product, service and experience offerings
- Identify and engage high value targets regarding their trade show spend and any ancillary face to face marketing activities with partnership potential.
- Focus on generating opportunities via a robust lead pipeline and lead conversion techniques.
- Use social media, email campaigns, in person engagements and cold calling to identify and close business.
- Leverage the sales tech stack for optimal results of prospecting activities.
- Work closely with marketing on leveraging value propositions and value add content in outreach to build pipeline aggressively.
- Drive revenue and profit results through strong win rates and high average order values.
- Penetrate net new logos won for a period of 12 months in a “land and expand” focus. (additional divisions, activations, revenue opportunities)
- Exhibit strong forecasting, pricing strategy and closing skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in sales or related experience
- Trade show experience is a plus but not required
- Self-driven and comfortable with daily self-direction
- Willingness to develop skills in sales with a focus on acquiring new business.
- Become a student in learning the ins and outs of B2B sales within the trade show industry.
- General comfort learning new technologies like CRM and prospecting / outreach tools.
- Understanding a pipeline and its importance, the importance of converting leads and maintaining high win rates.
- Willingness to learn how to sell to enterprise accounts, full programs and the ability to be highly strategic in business discussions with clients.
- Ability to be highly collaborative.
- Clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Typical/expected % of overnight travel: Up to 10%
