We have an opening for Full-Time Housekeeping Aide.
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under the direction of the Plant Operations Manager and the Lead Housekeeper, the Housekeeper/Linen Aide is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary and tidy hospital environment. Schedule: Mon - Tu - Wed 9:00am - 7:30pm pm (30 Hrs)
EDUCATION BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
· Experience in institutional housekeeping preferred
· Must be able to speak, read and understand English
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Supports hospital mission and strategic vision; manages hospital resources appropriately; complies with hospital policies and programs; maintains skill levels, licenses, and certifications; complies with all state and federal compliance and HIPAA requirements; keeps lines of communication open between self and other hospital personnel; competent with computer programs, excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors.
2. Vacuum carpets and rugs.
3. Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
4. Empty and clean trash containers.
5. Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
6. Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers.
7. Wipe down glass surfaces.
8. Make up beds and change linens as required.
9. Sort, wash, load and unload laundry.
10. Sort, fold and put away clean laundry.
11. Operate mechanized cleaning equipment.
12. Replace soiled drapes and cubicle curtains.
13. Strip, scrub, buff, and wax floors.
14. May disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies using germicides
15. Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition.
16. Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements.
17. Regular, reliable attendance is a requirement for this position.
18. Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.09 - $23.66 per hour
