Job Overview
Skyline Med Staff Nursing is seeking a dedicated Critical Care Specialist to join our team. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the progressive care unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the progressive care unit.
- Assess patients' conditions and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed.
- Monitor patients for signs of deterioration and respond quickly to medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families on medical conditions and self-care strategies.
- Document patient assessments, care provided, and responses to treatments.
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred for patients with cardiac conditions.
