Job Summary: We are looking for a professional, responsible, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a welcoming and organized environment for resort guests and HOA members. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. This is a seasonal position. We are looking for someone to start in April.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $12 - $13 per hour (based on experience)
- Summer Schedule (Peak Season): Monday – Sunday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, will need to work most weekends. Flexible with hours.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Front Desk Operations
- Greet and assist resort guests and HOA members in a friendly, professional manner, both in person and over the phone.
- Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and other communications efficiently.
- Identify customer needs and provide accurate information to enhance their experience.
- Handle guest reservations, check-ins, and check-outs, ensuring accuracy in issuing cabin codes and processing transactions.
- Address guest inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly, offering effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Office Duties:
- Maintain and organize customer records, process payments, and file necessary documents.
- Perform general office duties, such as updating paperwork, generating reports, and maintaining organized records.
- Balance the cash register, handle cash and credit transactions, and complete bank deposits as needed.
- Utilize QuickBooks, Clover, and Microsoft Office products for financial transactions, reporting, and document management.
Operational Support
- Assist in keeping the front desk and office area clean, orderly, and presentable.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Support marketing and communication efforts, including social media management, if applicable.
- Occasionally assist with resort events, special activities, or administrative projects.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Prior experience in customer service, cashiering, or administrative roles preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong computer proficiency, including QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel (not required but preferred).
- Excellent phone etiquette and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- Comfortable handling financial transactions, including cash handling and credit/debit processing.
- Experience with social media management is a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
