What are the responsibilities and job description for the Structural and Waterproofing - Project Manager position at Skyscraper Construction?
Skyscraper Construction has an immediate opening for a seasoned Field Project Manager/Superintendent to join our company. The qualified candidate will have relevant experience managing structural drawings and projects.
Project Management experience is required.
The Field Project Manager will take on the responsibility of managing the technical and contractual aspects of multiple projects within the field, with focus on restoration, rehabilitation, renovation, and forensics related work provided by the EOR (Engineer-or-record). This Project Manager will also assist in marketing, business development and growth of the company. The Project Manager should have experience and interest in the area of restoration, rehabilitation, renovation, water infiltration, building envelope issues in addition to forensic engineering work.
The qualified candidate should also possess a high energy level and be a self-motivated project manager who can work within a strong team environment, serving clients on major projects throughout South Florida, Technical specialization, proactivity and assertiveness when meeting client and project needs, are required.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to
Manage and plan several projects, ensuring they align with our innovative research, development, and implementation strategies
Oversee a dedicated group of managers and analysts, delegating tasks based on expertise and time constraints.
Oversee project execution, risk assessments, and field execution strategies
Maintain productivity analyses and develop construction schedules and methods
You'll be in charge of resource allocation, cost and risk assessment, and maintaining synergy across departments.
Oversee construction administration activities on projects, including RFI responses and submittal reviews, and attend site visits when required.
Provide high level structural design knowledge and expertise to project activities
Manage the full project lifecycle from scope development in proposal phase to construction completion. Work directly with clients and other design disciplines to ensure project goals are being met throughout the project life.
Pay Transparency Requirement:
The actual offered salary will be dependent on experience.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering/construction management with focus in Structures preferred.
- 5 years of relevant experience with proven growth
- Ability to secure new clients and generate new business
- Microsoft Office (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT)
- Computer Aided Drafting/Design (AUTOCAD, REVIT, Rhino, Grasshopper.. etc)
- Strong technical, written and verbal communication
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
- Strong customer service focus
- Must be familiar with reading blueprints and plan interpretation for field crew.
- Will be required to get on (swing stages, boom lifts, and at height equipment) to perform inspections and mark up walls etc. for field crew.
- English/Spanish speaking preferred, but not required.
- Experience managing projects and clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience working collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience managing all aspects of construction projects including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical.
