Summary
The Controller oversees the daily accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role manages budgeting, cash flow analysis, internal controls, and audits. The Controller also leads the accounting team, supporting the CFO in strategic decision-making to ensure financial health and compliance. This role requires experience in the manufacturing sector, focusing on financial management, operational efficiencies, and strategic planning. In addition to manufacturing experience, this individual should possess a good understanding of tariffs and imports specifically when it comes to China, Mexico, and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to create and monitor budgets.
- Ensure the timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions, including general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial records are finalized in a timely manner.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments and collections.
- Manage company cash flow, including cash flow forecasting and banking relationships.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management to inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including federal, state, and local tax filings and audits.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing setting, including leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems used in manufacturing settings.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.

Pay: $73,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
