Responsibilities
- Full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, especially for high-turnover production roles.
- Manage employee relations, act as a coach and advisor to employees and supervisors.
- Administer benefits programs, partnering with external brokers.
- Oversee payroll preparation and timecard reviews (payroll processed externally).
- Lead compliance and reporting efforts including Affirmative Action Plans, OSHA, and EEO-1.
- Manage workers’ compensation and unemployment claims.
- Maintain and revise company policies, including the employee handbook.
- Coordinate training, performance review processes, and employee engagement efforts.
- Promote and oversee workplace safety and ensure regulatory adherence.
- 3 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of employment law, benefits administration, and safety compliance.
- Comfortable operating as a party-of-one HR department.
- Highly approachable and people-centered, with a passion for building culture.
- Experience with Kronos or similar timekeeping systems is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
