A well-established engineering and consulting firm is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Project Manager to join their MEP Engineering team.
This role will involve managing a variety of projects, enhancing current client partnerships, and promoting the growth of service offerings by working closely with other internal teams. Candidates must have a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a solid background in building design/architecture-related work. This role will only be needed in-office two days a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize strong technical skills and effective communication with clients
- Collaborate with clients to understand project needs, requirements, and timelines
- Prepare work plans, cost proposals, and project schedules based on client requests
- Manage contracts with clients and external consultants, ensuring clarity on services provided
- Establish both quantitative and qualitative goals for each project
- Oversee and communicate project scope, schedules, work plans, and budgets with the team
- Lead and coordinate project efforts, fostering teamwork and collaboration
- Provide technical guidance to the team, ensuring the timely delivery of services and high-quality construction documents
- Ensure all project documentation meets client standards, building codes, and regulations
- Regularly monitor project financials, including AR reporting, and work with leadership to resolve issues
- Support professional development through ongoing training and mentoring of team members
- Cultivate positive working relationships with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders
- Proactively manage client relationships, identifying new opportunities and ensuring satisfaction
- Meet periodically with teams to review project progress and recommend process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
- Proficiency in Revit required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is desirable
- Ability to work on-site/in-person approximately 2 days per week
- 8 years of experience in the industry, with at least 8 years as a project manager
- Experience across all phases of engineering, from planning to project completion
- Comprehensive understanding of engineering processes, drawing development, and construction
- Proven ability to manage project budgets and timelines
- Strong relationship management skills, both internal and external
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
- Experience with Deltek Vision a plus
- LEED AP certification is a bonus
Compensation
Salary: $95K – $135K, based on experience, plus benefits and performance-based bonuses
