What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at SkyWater Search Partners?
We’re exciting to be partnering with a returning manufacturing client just outside of the Madison area to help them find their next Quality Manager. This individual will have a key role in the Quality department, leading a team of 10, with the potential to advance to a Director-level position in the coming years. This role is heavily involved within the organization working cross functionally with engineering, sales and supply chain on the quality of each product. This company has been growing at a rapid pace over the years and are expecting the same in 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 10 direct reports and distribute work & projects to these employees.
- Develop, implement & maintain quality assurance programs to reduce defects & improve overall product quality.
- Identify areas for process improvements and work with cross-functional groups to implement changes.
- Develop and implement corrective & preventative actions as needed.
- Implementing CI initiatives
- Work with Sales, Supply Chain and Engineering on the quality of each product
- Travel to suppliers and other facilities 5% - 10% of the time
- Other duties or projects as assigned.
Desired Skills And Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Quality Management Lead a team of 2 direct reports and distribute work & projects to these employees.
- 7 years of Quality experience. Ideally at least 3 years of experience managing a team.
- Metal Fabrication background preferred
- Experienced leading a team of 5 QE's and Quality Technicians.
- ISO90001 background
- Strong personal and collaboration skills
