With a commitment to excellence and delivering projects on time and within budget, we are looking for a seasoned Senior Construction Manager to lead and oversee our complex and high-profile projects.
Job Overview
As a Senior Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of large-scale commercial construction projects. Your expertise in managing all aspects of construction will drive our projects from planning to completion. You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with key stakeholders, and ensure that each project is delivered safely, efficiently, and within scope. Your experience will be critical in navigating the challenges of commercial construction while maintaining our high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Take full ownership of multiple commercial construction projects across a variety of sectors, including entertainment, corporate, demolition, and institutional, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to foster collaboration, efficiency, and exceptional performance.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Contract Negotiation: Manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and protecting the company’s interests while maintaining profitability.
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and implement detailed project schedules, establish milestones, and ensure adherence to timelines. Proactively identify potential risks or delays and implement mitigation strategies.
- Budget Management: Oversee and control project budgets, ensuring that costs are managed effectively and in line with financial goals. Approve expenses and change orders.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and local regulations on every project site. Implement safety protocols and maintain a culture of safety across all teams.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets or exceeds the project specifications and industry standards. Conduct regular site inspections to identify issues and resolve them promptly.
- Problem-Solving: Tackle complex construction challenges, offering innovative solutions and leading the team through any obstacles that arise on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Industry Expertise: Extensive experience in managing large, complex projects across a range of sectors, including entertainment, corporate, demolition, and institutional.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- Strong Knowledge of Construction Practices: In-depth understanding of construction processes, codes, and best practices. Expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Excellent Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate, resolve conflicts, and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety protocols.
- Educational Background: A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred, though significant experience will also be considered.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: Up to $150,000 annually.
