Job Summary
As a Summer Analyst at Skyway Capital Markets, you will gain real-world experience and play a meaningful role in middle-market investment banking. Our program is structured to provide a thorough understanding of financial analysis, research, and deal execution. You will work closely with senior bankers on live transactions, capstone projects, and strategic client engagements.
The program begins with an onboarding week, including technical training in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, CapIQ, and Pitchbook, and an introduction to Skyway’s operations. Throughout the summer, you will rotate through assignments such as industry research, valuation analysis, target screening, and pitch deck creation. The program culminates in a capstone project, where you will collaborate with peers to solve a real-world investment banking challenge and present your findings to Skyway leadership.
Top-performing interns may receive an offer to join Skyway Capital Markets as a full-time analysts upon graduation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop financial models to evaluate equity and debt financing alternatives.
- Perform valuation methodologies, including comparative company, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flow analyses.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
- Assist in creating pitch decks, Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs), and other client deliverables.
- Screen potential acquisition targets or investment opportunities using CapIQ and Pitchbook.
- Collaborate on live deal execution, including due diligence and drafting transaction documents.
- Ability to complete the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam preparation and testing.
- Present a capstone project addressing a real-world investment banking scenario to senior leadership.
Knowledge of:
- Investment banking fundamentals and industry best practices.
- Financial markets, tools, and products.
- Research and valuation techniques.
Skill in:

- Building detailed financial models and analyzing complex datasets.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
- Minimum 3.5 GPA required.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
