Qualification/Responsibilities:
- Must possess an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college.
- A current and valid PTA license granted from the state of employment
- Return patient to optimal physical function and facilitate achievement of patient, physician, and therapy goals
- Instruct the patient in maintaining achieved level of function after discharge through education, independent exercise program, and appropriate activity modification
- Treats residents under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
- Maintain appropriate accurate records on all residents on caseload
- Keeps Physical Therapist and other health team members appraised of resident’s progress and changes in function
- Modifies treatment program only under the direction of the licensed PT
