ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive.
CLIENT AND SLATE TEAM COLLABORATION
- Meet with the Slate team and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines, and costs.
- Managed client contracts and coordinated between internal teams, third-party vendors, and clients for smooth project execution.
PROJECT PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT
- Develop and revise detailed project plans based on changing needs and requirements.
- Assign tasks strategically, leveraging team members' strengths, skills, and experience.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve project objectives and ensure on-time delivery.
REPORTING AND DOCUMENTATION
- Monitor project performance and compile project status reports for clients and management.
- Create quarterly reports to track client budgets, hours, and timelines.
MARKETING COORDINATION
- Coordinate production with external vendors, such as marketing agencies, printers, and media outlets.
- Organize staff participation in public events and attend local client events to provide on-site support as needed.
- Post content to social media sites, websites, e-newsletter platforms, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the necessary functions of this position.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred Experience: Background in local government or working within a marketing firm is a plus.
- Client Interaction: Ability to schedule, organize, create agendas, and run client meetings via Zoom.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with the Slate team, third-party vendors, clients, and the general public.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient with an Apple computer and software like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Google Workspace, and project management platforms such as Asana or Teamwork.
- Experience with website CMS platforms like WordPress or Squarespace.
- Skilled in social media best practices, metrics tracking, promotions, and scheduling tools.
- Proficient in creating email newsletters using platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or Squarespace.
- Strong organizational and technical skills for website updates and content migration.
- Familiarity with organizing Flickr photo and video libraries.
- Detail-Oriented: Must include favorite candy in the cover letter to demonstrate attention to detail.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, or a related field from an accredited college or university, with 3 years or more of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
REASONING ABILITY
Applying common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
