Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our catering services, banquets, and overall hospitality efforts within our winery.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sweeping and mopping floors.
- Assist with food handling tasks as needed to support kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Assist with stocking glassware and additional items that staff uses in the kitchen.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions to management.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in catering events and banquets as required, ensuring all service items are clean and ready for use.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help colleagues as needed.
- Knowledge of proper food handling techniques is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business needs.
