SLB’s New Energy is seeking a highly driven Commercial / Proposal Manager to be part of the Critical Minerals group. This position is focused on formulating proposal strategies and Support the Business Development team articulating the value proposition to the customer and innovative proposal options. This role main responsibility is to be the single point of contact for proposal management including technical and commercial documentation, QA/QC, risk matrix, vendor relations, pricing recommendations and tender evaluation model to ensure an effective review of tenders/ proposals by the management team and the decision-making stakeholders. Bridging the gap between Sales/Engineering/procurement, acting as the subject matter expert in pricing benchmarks and trends and maintaining awareness of historical strategies leading to successful / unsuccessful proposals are also important parts of the role
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Interact with the engineering and support teams to establish the cost models and incorporate into proposal pricing strategies.
- Prepare and review EPF (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication) work scopes, specifications, process flow diagrams, budgets, schedules, and contracts following the GATE process of the business line.Revise existing (or propose new) standards, best practices, procedures for EPF in collaboration with the Field Support Equipment, Maintenance, QHSE groups.
- Maintain and develop Internal knowledge databases (InTouch), promoting paperless archiving and providing better information access (technical library including standards, procedures, CAD drawings, MOM, certifications, projects, etc.).
- Support the audits of engineering firms, construction or repair sites or yard within our geographical areas of work, maintaining a list of approved contractors in the field of work of the technical group, ensuring the availability of resources as they may be required, to provide an efficient support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering – education related process engineering, mining are preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in EPF projects with at least 5 years as a Commercial/ Proposal Manager
- Operational experience in chemical processing plants, water processing and/or mining/ metallurgy projects is preferred.
- Previous experiences in sales and commercial is preferred.
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team and thrive for the success of the projects.
- Ability to submit the deliverables within deadlines.
- Candidates must be able to work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
- Ability to read and write in Spanish is a plus.
