Position: Guest Service Representative

Requirements:
- High school diploma or higher level of education
- 1 year of hotel experience is preferred but not required (relevant experience in sales, cashiering, or customer service may substitute)
- Must have reliable transportation and live within 10-30 minutes of the hotel
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift and lift 30-50 pounds
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle guest complaints and determine when to escalate issues
General Responsibilities:
The Guest Service Representative is responsible for ensuring a seamless guest experience by providing excellent service at check-in, during the stay, and at check-out. This role includes handling reservations, assisting guests with inquiries, and up-selling hotel services while maintaining professionalism and hospitality standards.
Specific Responsibilities:
✔ Provide outstanding guest service—always greet with a smile and a warm welcome
✔ Handle check-ins, check-outs, and reservations efficiently and professionally
✔ Process payments, post charges, and balance cash deposits at the end of the shift
✔ Assist guests with hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and travel directions
✔ Communicate effectively with the housekeeping team regarding special requests and room status
✔ Maintain guest and employee confidentiality and adhere to all safety policies
✔ Follow standard operating procedures for handling lost and found items
✔ Maintain a neat, clean, and organized front desk area
✔ Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate when necessary
✔ Assist in promoting repeat business by offering future reservations and recommending hotel services
✔ Participate in team meetings, hospitality programs, and training seminars
✔ Wear a proper uniform and maintain a professional appearance
