The Front Desk Hotel Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests by handling check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and inquiries. This role ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for all visitors while maintaining efficient front desk operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm welcome.
- Check guests in and out efficiently while verifying identification and payment details.
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the hotel’s booking system.
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries about room availability, hotel services, and local attractions.
- Address guest concerns and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
- Process payments and maintain accurate billing records.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure room readiness and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area.
- Uphold hotel policies and procedures to ensure security and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and hotel management software.
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
