What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Inspector position at Sleep Inn?

Basic Function:
- Responsible for the daily inspection of rooms to ensure the hotel's standards of cleanliness and provides training for all newly hired room attendants. Also, assumes the role of the Executive Housekeeper when they're not present.
Qualifications:
- Open Availability (Sun-Sat; your two days off will be based on volume of inventory)
- Being able to pass a background check, within the past 7 years
- At least 2 years experience of Inspecting or 1 year in a Leadership Role
- Can lift up to 5lbs
Job Duties:
- Supervise and assist all room attendants whenever necessary
- Inspect rooms for cleanliness
- Performs the functions of a room attendant
- Provides training for all newly hired employees and implement on-going training to all room attendants
- Assume the role of Executive Housekeeper whenever they're not present
- Responsible for the supervision of room attendants on floors, correct deficiencies and advise housekeeper on non-housekeeping deficiencies
- Responsible for the inspection of at least 30 rooms per day. Make sure all guest rooms and public areas are clean and comfortable.
- Set up housekeeping carts
- Check all vacant rooms
- Communicating with the housekeeping attendants on early check-outs or stayovers
- Reports any repairs needed to be called to the Maintenance team members and creating work orders
- Approves room for occupancy
- Checks all Housekeeping Attendant room boards for accuracy
- Helps room attendants on heavy check-out days
- Supervises room attendants and housepersons
- Supports laundry when needed
- Is cognizant of employee and guest property and security
- Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
