LAFAYETTE, LA – DSW – (M-F) EVENING SHIFT
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
@Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSW) to provide evening care (Mon- Fri) for a young male, in the Lafayette/Youngsville area. The candidate will be trained on how to operate his ceiling tracking system (Lift). This position is an in-home service. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in an environment with pets, as the consumer has animals.
The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the physical care of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Valid Driver’s License or ID
3. Working Cell Phone with Data Plan
4. Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report and clean driving record

6. Must have Patience, Compassion, Positive Attitude, and be a Team Player
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Light Housekeeping
2. Assist with bathing / dressing
PAY:
$9.00 per hour (Plus Weekly Bonus)
