About Us:
Slice of Brooklyn is a wood-fired kitchen and pizzeria offering an authentic Italian experience, complete with an Italian coffee program and Zero Proof bar. As a key part of our growing multi-unit organization, we are seeking a dynamic, growth-minded FOH Manager to lead our team, elevate guest experiences, and expand our brand’s presence through marketing, events, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:Front of House & Dining Room Leadership:
- Oversee all FOH operations, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming guest experience.
- Maintain a strong dining room presence, leading by example and ensuring staff efficiency.
- Supervise servers, hosts, and bartenders, fostering an environment of hospitality and excellence.
- Handle guest relations, resolving issues with professionalism and care.
- Work alongside the kitchen and bar teams to optimize service flow.
Team Management & Development:
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage FOH staff, including performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
- Create efficient schedules that balance labor costs with quality service.
- Mentor and develop employees, fostering a positive, growth-oriented workplace.
Marketing & Community Engagement:
- Oversee all social media accounts, posting several times daily to engage and attract customers.
- Utilize light graphic design (Canva or similar) to create compelling visuals for specials and promotions.
- Build community relationships, organizing local outreach and collaborations.
- Work with ownership and the chef to craft seasonal specials, menu promotions, and events.
Event & Catering Oversight:
- Manage private events, catering services, and special dining experiences.
- Communicate with clients to customize menus and coordinate event logistics.
- Ensure a seamless execution of all events, maximizing revenue and guest satisfaction.
Coffee Bar & Zero Proof Program Management:
- Supervise and support the Coffee Bar Manager, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Oversee the Zero Proof beverage program, developing innovative drinks and ensuring proper training.
- Monitor trends and implement growth strategies to enhance beverage sales.
Facility & Operations Management:
- Ensure all FOH facilities are well-maintained, coordinating with vendors and ownership as needed.
- Oversee inventory management for FOH supplies and beverages.
- Enforce company policies, service standards, and best practices to maintain operational excellence.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Growth-minded leader eager to expand with a multi-unit concept.
- 2 years FOH management experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant.
- Strong dining room leadership and presence—hands-on, energetic, and team-oriented.
- Social media marketing experience, with an eye for engaging content and promotions.
- Event and catering experience is a plus.
- Experience with Toast POS front and back end is a must.
- Coffee program experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems, scheduling software, and restaurant technology.
- Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
