Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking School Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors. The custodian will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining school buildings, ensuring facilities meet health and safety standards, and assisting with minor repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, cafeteria, and other school areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors as needed.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs and minor repairs.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards, damages, or maintenance issues to the administration.
- Secure school buildings by locking doors and windows after school hours.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture for school events, meetings, and activities.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Support the school staff and administration with other duties as assigned.
