What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender - both locations position at SLO Brewing Co LLC?
Description:
- Provide the highest level of service in accordance with our standards
- Answer guests’ questions about food, beverages, events and facilities in knowledgeable manner
- Make a great first impression with professional friendly service, a genuine smile, and warm welcome
- Inform guests about menu selections, including food, beer, cocktails, wine, dessert, specials and events
- Make appropriate recommendations and upsells
- Have an intimate knowledge of all house brews, spirits and wine, including flavor profiles, ingredients, and food pairings
- Serve alcohol in an appropriate responsible manner consistent with company standards; recognize signs of intoxication, and never over-serve
- Wash and sanitize glassware, bar tools, etc.
- Monitor and refill ice bins
- Prepare garnishes
- Maintain security of all bar inventory, organize and restock supplies, and notify Manager of any ordering needs or special requests
- Enter orders in the POS system accurately
- Process financial transactions accurately
- Communicate with management, kitchen staff, and serving staff to maintain an efficient service flow
- Respond appropriately to customer complaints and bring any issues to the attention of a manager
- Participate in end of shift side work duties
- Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning, waste/recycling, restroom maintenance, etc.
- Maintain safe, clean, organized & stocked work areas
Work both locations: R& H The Rock and The Carrisa
Minimum Wage tips, and commission

- Able to handle the stress of difficult/intoxicated people and challenging situations
