Job Summary
SLO Ranch Farms is seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the care of our animals and manage the agricultural operations of the farm. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in farm management, animal care, and overseeing planting seasons for rotating crops and our seasonal attractions like the corn maze and pumpkin patch. The Farm Manager will ensure the health and well-being of our animals and crops while maintaining an organized and productive farm environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Animal Care: Ensure that all animals (goats, sheep, donkeys, alpacas, chickens) are well-cared for, healthy and safe, including daily feeding, cleaning and health checks. Liaise with veterinarians when necessary.
- Farm Management: Manage the flower field, ensuring proper care and seasonal display. Coordinate planting, growth, and harvesting for the rotating crops, corn maze and pumpkin patch, ensuring crops are ready for the season.
- Planting & Harvesting: Plan and implement the planting schedule for seasonal crops. Oversee the care and maintenance of crops to ensure a successful harvest and clean and safe farm environment.
- Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of the farm including welding and pest control, tools, equipment, and general farm infrastructure.
Qualifications.
- Experience in animal care, particularly with farm animals
- Knowledge of agricultural cycles, planting, and harvesting techniques.
- Able to work and drive a tractor
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Passion for farming and animal care
- Must be available to work weekend.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Year round work
