At Sloan Lubrication Systems, we are looking for a talented individual to join our close-knit team. As a Regional Sales Representative, you will have an exciting opportunity to build on the 100-year legacy of Sloan Lubrication by providing quality sales and support to our customers in the South-Central Region of the United States.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop new prospects and interact with existing customers to increase sales of products and/or services.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Direct sales forecasting activities and collaborate in setting performance goals.
- Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
- Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
- Deliver sales presentations to key clients via consultative selling process.
- Meet with key clients, foster positive customer relationships, and negotiate and close deals.
- Maintain current and accurate key customer lists and projected sales by customer or customer group.
- Analyze and control expenditures of region to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales revenue & growth for assigned region, and expansion opportunities with new clients and/or markets.
- Effectively manage attainment of sales forecast for the region.
- Monitor and evaluate the competitive activities
- 40-50% travel, overnight as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Education and Experience Requirements
- Knowledge of sales systems and functions
- Understanding of the sales cycle from prospect to close
- CRM understanding is a must
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Problem analysis and problem resolution skills
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
- Highly organized, self-motivated and independent
- Computer literate, particularly in general productivity software; ERP experience a plus
- BS/BA in business administration, a technical major or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4 or more years' experience selling to an industrial marketplace with a focus in Oil & Gas industry products or related industries
