Job Summary
The Inside Sales Representative will manage inbound leads from web, phone, and chat channels, delivering high-quality customer service while supporting the outside sales and estimating teams. This role requires an individual who can effectively communicate Sloan’s product offerings, qualify leads, and contribute to the overall success of the company’s sales efforts.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead Management:
• Respond to and qualify inbound leads from various channels, including web, phone, and live chat, ensuring a high level of customer service.• Quickly assess customer needs and identify key opportunities for further engagement or sales.
• Prioritize leads based on potential value, urgency, and customer requirements, ensuring prompt follow-up.
Product Knowledge:
• Communicate the features, benefits, and value of Sloan’s security products and services, including automated gates, security barriers, cameras, and access control systems.• Stay up to date with new product offerings and any updates or enhancements to existing solutions.
• Tailor product recommendations based on individual customer needs, budget, and site requirements.
Customer Support:
• Provide accurate and timely information to potential customers, including basic budget estimates and recommendations for complementary products.• Act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through their decision-making process by explaining technical details in a clear, easy-to-understand manner.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns with a solutions-oriented approach to ensure a positive customer experience.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Marketing, Estimating, and Business Development teams to ensure seamless communication and a smooth customer handoff.• Share insights on lead quality, common customer pain points, and frequently asked questions with internal teams to improve marketing and sales strategies.
• Collaborate with the Estimating team to ensure accurate, competitive pricing is delivered to qualified leads in a timely manner.
Sales Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including detailed notes on conversations, follow-ups, and next steps, in the CRM system.• Regularly update lead status, ensuring that sales activities are tracked and transparent for both the sales and marketing teams.
• Provide regular reports on lead management, sales pipeline, and conversion rates to the Director of Marketing, identifying areas for improvement.
Market Awareness:
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and technological advancements in security equipment to better serve customers and contribute to sales efforts.• Attend industry events, webinars, and training sessions to continuously improve product knowledge and stay ahead of market developments.
• Share insights on competitor products and industry trends with the sales and marketing teams to inform strategic planning.
Other Requirements
• Proven experience in inbound or outbound sales, customer service, or a related role. Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus.• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• A proactive attitude, with the ability to take initiative and work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
• Willingness to learn about security products and systems, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
• A college degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
