What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Line Cook position at Slow Hand Food & Drink?
Slow Hand in West Chester, PA is looking for one line cook to join our 35 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged.
Responsibilities
- Stock and set up your station
- Complete all tasks on daily prep list, help others to do the same
- Cook orders in a timely manner, plate as instructed by Chef
- Communicate with others working the line
- Ex. all food for each course should be ready at the exact same time
- Communicate orders, prep, counts to the Chef/Sous Chef
- Break down stations/kitchen at end of shift
- Assisting other kitchen employees in the completion of the shift.
- Prepare for next shift
- Fill out preplists and notify the Chef/Sous Chef on any items that need to be ordered to complete prep for the following day/days
- Ensure food safety standards and regulations are upheld at all times
- If no dishwasher is present, keep up with dishes during prep time. Clean as you go, wash what you use
Qualifications
- Cooking experience or Back of the House experience preferred
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
- Strong attention to detail
