After training, what does our Office Coordinator do?
Our Office Coordinator uses their communication, and administrative skills to shape each day’s schedule into a fun, busy, and productive workday for the team. Alongside fellow co-workers in their designated roles, this position manages the questions and needs of callers, builds relationships with our referring doctors’ offices, schedules appointments, administers patient registration, conducts appointment confirmation, presents braces contracts for approval, and manages check-in and check-out responsibilities. It is a stable position in a vital practice; come grow with us!
What are the qualifications to apply?
1. Availability Monday – Friday (with personal/family flexibility when we are fully staffed), no weekends! No evening hours!
2. Stable work history that includes a primary focus on customer service communication skills. We value kindness and empathy in combination with the ability to use your initiative to encourage patient compliance with payment and scheduling policies.
3. Studies or a BS or BA in Communications, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or other related field provides an excellent foundation to enjoy a career in the orthodontic field. However, a college degree is not required to apply. Equivalent skills gained through work experience are valuable too.
4. Excellent verifiable references.
5. Computer friendly- software savvy / fast, accurate, and detailed data entry.
6. Strong multi-tasking skills.
7. Excellent speaking skills with grammatically correct sentence structure. Grade A writing skills for professional correspondences in email and text communications with patients and referring practices.
8. Initiative to learn the technical training in our industry: study and quickly learn terminology, processes, and software.
9. Personal and professional values that embrace diversity and gear you to enjoy all people of every age group (we treat youngsters and grandparents!), ethnicity, religion, backgrounds, and personalities from great to grumpy… we care for all people! Although most of our patients are smiling, if one comes in with a frown… we will do our best to turn it upside down and make their day brighter!
