What are the responsibilities and job description for the Training and Curriculum Coordinator-TCC position at Small Hands Big Dreams Learning Center?
Small Hands Big Dreams has a unique opportunity for someone ready for the next step in their early childhood teaching career. The Training and Curriculum Coordinator is a full-time position where you can continue to showcase your classroom expertise while role-modeling and extending your reach to all classrooms in the building. Though this is not a traditional in ratio day care position; this IS an IN CLASSROOM position that requires high levels of energy and passion for art of teaching. Some of the job description includes the following:
- Support and implement SHBD/CORA Collaborative Curriculum and educational philosophy of learning through the play
- Keep updated on SUTQ changes and implement changes as needed
- Support and follow all policies, training manuals, and procedures of SHBD/ CORA
- Provide a safe, clean, loving, warm and caring environment
- Maintain open communication between parents, office staff, teaching staff, and Director of Training and Curriculum
- Observe, provide strategies and monitor behaviors of children
- Create behavior plans, track behaviors and document success of behavior plans
- Model classroom strategies with staff
- Create individual training plans with staff and monitor implementation and document progress
- Lead small group meetings to purposefully train and collaborate with staff
- Lead or assist with parent meetings to collaborate on behavior plans and communicate necessary resources for success
- Complete and maintain all necessary SUTQ paperwork for submission and maintenance
- Assist, role model, and train new and existing staff
- Review curriculum procedures and quality with new and existing staff
- Ensure orientation, curriculum and any follow-up trainings are completed with new and existing staff
- Summer camp planning and implementation for entire center each summer
- Liberal Arts planning and implementation

Educational Requirements:
- Meet all state licensing qualifications of that of Lead teacher or above CPL3
- 1-2 years experience in a childcare setting as a lead teacher
- Supervisory experience preferred
III. Physical Requirements:
- Lifting and carrying children that may weigh 10-70lbs
- Stand up to 90% of the day while supervising the safety of the children
- Bending, walking, rising from a sitting position and moving from classroom to classroom 90% of the day
