Job Description:
Small Hands Big Dreams Learning Centers is excited to offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Early Childhood Educator who is ready to take the next step in their professional career. We are looking for a dedicated Training and Curriculum Coordinator who will leverage their expertise to support, mentor, and guide our team of teachers across all age groups—from Infants to PreK. This full-time position offers the perfect balance of classroom guidance and leadership responsibilities, allowing you to make a direct and lasting impact on both educators and children in early childhood education, childcare, and preschool
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and coach teachers across all classrooms, spending 80% of your time in the classroom to model best practices in early childhood education, childcare, and preschool environments.
- Provide hands-on support in classroom management, addressing challenging behaviors, and quality activity planning, ensuring every child receives a nurturing and educational experience.
- Develop and implement training and curriculum strategies that help teachers grow professionally and refine their skills, ensuring high-quality early childhood education, and childcare is consistently provided.
- Guide teachers in maintaining a positive, engaging, and effective environment that supports children’s developmental needs.
- Spend 20% of your time creating structured plans and setting measurable goals for teachers, ensuring new staff receive high-quality training and support.
- Collaborate closely with families and staff to ensure a consistent, cohesive approach to supporting each child’s early education for progress from drop-off to pick-up.
- Work under the direction of the Center Director to create a culture of continuous improvement, fostering an environment where teachers can thrive, learn, and evolve in their roles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in a formal childcare setting, ideally with exposure to multiple age groups from infants through preschool.
- Previous experience in a leadership, coaching or mentor role, with a deep understanding of early childhood education best practices.
- Ability to model best practices and provide ongoing coaching in areas like classroom management, lesson planning, and behavior strategies.
- Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with staff, families, and the broader community.
- A genuine passion for supporting and empowering teachers to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education.
