Well-established Cape Cod personal injury firm seeking a full-time Legal Secretary preferably with civil litigation experience. Must be well organized, detail-orientated, and able to multi-task. Must have strong administrative, computer, and phone skills. The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of case workflow from intake to trial.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, keeping them informed about their case's progress
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
- Assist in preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, demand letters, discovery requests, and responses
- Calendar and manage court deadlines
- Request reports and medical records
- Administrative duties and other office requirements when needed
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years experience in a law firm environment and similar role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all legal documents and correspondence
- Knowledge of personal injury litigation is preferred
