What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Group Supervisor position at Small Steps Early Learning Center?
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Group Supervisor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of childhood development and be able to engage children in educational activities while ensuring their safety and well-being. This role involves working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and may also include supporting children with disabilities.
A group supervisor shall have attained one of the following qualification levels:
An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 3 years of experience with children.

- Reliable transportation
- Pass state required health assessment
- Hold & maintain all required clearances
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Positively interact with children
- Ability to sit, stand, squat, and be on the floor frequently throughout the day.
- Ability to see, hear, and verbally communicate with children under your supervision
- Ability to tolerate moderate- loud noise level throughout the day
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members.
- Pediatric First aid certification
- Ability to create engaging educational activities tailored to various age groups, particularly toddlers.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth in a nurturing environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
