Job Description for Classroom Sub. :
We are looking for a nurturing individual to be a part-time sub for days when we have emergency call-outs. This candidate will work closely with a lead teacher in conducting daily responsibilities listed below. To be successful as a sub, you must have a passion for children and exercise patience with them. You should display a positive attitude, impeccable customer service, and greet parents and staff in a friendly manner. Ultimately, you should constantly monitor and supervise the children in your care to ensure their safety. Available shifts include full-day and partial day shifts (Examples include : 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm, or 3-6pm)
Qualifications : Candidate must be :
- At least 18 years of age.
- A high school graduate or equivalent.
- Cleared of any criminal record.
- Experience working with young children and / or a similar customer-service based field
- CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certified or obtain certifications upon hire.
- DCF certified by completing the required 45 hours of DCF training or be willing to complete it within the first year.
- Mentally and physically capable of caring for a group of children.
- Punctual, dependable, consistent, and a commitment to adhere to our standards of excellence
- Aware of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities.
