Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves engaging with children aged 3 to 5 years, implementing age-appropriate educational activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Provide high-quality caregiving and education to preschool-aged children.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages children's curiosity and creativity.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and daily activities.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Observe and assess children's developmental milestones to tailor educational approaches.
- Support children with special education needs through individualized strategies when necessary.
Requirements
- Experience in childcare or preschool settings is preferred, including caregiving roles such as nannying or infant care.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and child development principles.
- Ability to create engaging educational activities suitable for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required at the time of hire.
- A background in special education is beneficial but not mandatory.
