- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Handle medical collections and billing inquiries, including processing payments.
- Assist with medical scheduling, coordinating appointments for various procedures.
- Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate insurance claims processing.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Provide support in managing the clinic's daily operations, including inventory management of dental supplies.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and procedures to assist in patient care effectively.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure a cohesive working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Office Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology is essential.
- Knowledge of medical collection processes and ICD-10 coding is a plus.
- Proficiency in medical scheduling software is desirable.
