Job description
Smart Building, Inc is a rapidly growing residential and light commercial maintenance
and remodeling company in the Bay Area. Established in the early 2,000s, our team has
grown to almost 100 employees, and with their help have completed over 31,000 Unit
Turns and 3,000 Unit Rehabs. We are looking for a professional with a willingness to
learn and develop as we grow the sales department. This position will primarily work
out of our Concord office. Travel throughout the Bay Area and Sacramento required as
needed.
Responsibilities:
- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities for residential turn work, painting and capital improvements”.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the project management and estimating teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project proposals.
- Communicate client needs effectively to ensure the successful delivery of services.
- Networking & Industry Participation: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows. Build and maintain a robust network of industry contacts, partners, and potential clients.
- Reporting & Analytics: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and deal status using CRM software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field.
- Bilingual: English / Spanish
- Experience: Experience in business development, sales, or a related field desired.
- Experience and interest in relationship-building with clients in industries such as commercial real estate, manufacturing, or infrastructure development preferred but not required.
- Skills and Competencies: General understanding of the general contracting industry, including the sales cycle, contract structures, and industry-specific challenges.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Self Motivated, competitive and driven individual who is motivated by challenge and interested in a career with a growing company.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
