Job Description :
We are seeking an Associate Vice President (AVP), nursing to provide leadership and direction in managing the nursing and medical assistant (MA) practices across all health center sites. Reporting directly to the SVP / Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the AVP will ensure that nursing and MA practices meet all regulatory compliance standards, scope of practice, and evidence-based care models. This role is integral in mentoring Nurse Managers, improving patient care delivery, and ensuring clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain structured rounding schedules to engage staff, provide mentorship, and observe work flows for continuous improvement.
- Oversee quality nursing services (RN, LPN, MA) and ensure day-to-day coordination, direction, and evaluation.
- Develop and revise RN and MA policies, procedures, and clinical protocols, ensuring regulatory compliance and evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement clinical nursing programs that meet the needs of the patient population.
- Standardize RN and MA workflows across all practices, ensuring staff compliance with documented processes.
- Monitor clinical and operational metrics with the AVP of Operations and Medical Directors, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and evaluate new employee orientation programs, professional development, and annual competency reviews.
- Participate in strategic patient care initiatives as directed by the CNO.
- Review clinical incident reports, perform trend analysis, and propose actions for improvement.
- Collaborate in planning staffing levels and nursing position control across all sites.
- Support Human Resources in nurse recruitment, career growth, and retention efforts.
- Lead infection prevention programs, ensuring alignment with policies, regulations, and best practices.
- Act as a liaison to hospital nursing staff and laboratory teams to address quality issues and educational opportunities.
