Exercise Physiologist

Smart Strength
Austin, TX Part Time
POSTED ON 12/24/2024 CLOSED ON 1/21/2025

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exercise Physiologist position at Smart Strength?

At Smart Strength, we know you want to be an expert in exercise and fitness. We believe that personal trainers are just as impactful as other health care professionals. We understand you want to make a difference in people’s lives while also being viewed as an expert practitioner. Consider joining us as we continue to build a team of experienced, educated professionals.

We provide time-efficient, evidence-based resistance training. We work with CEOs, Supermoms, and Retirees who want to look better, feel better, and perform better, all in about an hour a week. Our clients stay with us long-term (some are at year 20), and they do this because if it wasn't on their calendar, they wouldn't do the work. We respect what we do and ourselves in the constant pursuit of perfecting our craft.

Here is how we do it:

  • Start the hiring process.
  • Be on-boarded through our Smart Strength System where you will learn to connect your exercise science background with our proven approach to delivering impactful, time-efficient strength workouts.
  • Continue to master your craft with our Growth Plan.

What We Look For in an Exercise Physiologist:

  • Personality skills are crucial to us. Our team is made up of exercise physiologists who are friendly, positive, upbeat, energetic, and possess excellent communication skills. If this doesn’t reflect your personality, we’re probably not the right fit for you.
  • We also require our trainers to be strong team players. If you don’t enjoy collaborating with your team—whether it’s sharing exercise ideas, covering for teammates, or interacting with co-workers—you likely won’t feel at home here.
  • At the same time, our trainers need to be self-driven, have strong work ethics, and show excellent initiative. Our standards are high, and if you're looking for an easy-going work environment, we may not be the right studio for you.
  • While experience is valuable, what matters most is your willingness to learn and adapt to the systems and protocols we have in place. We require trainers who are open to growth and who embrace our high standards.
  • Our trainers must also be passionate about continuing education. Whether it's attending conferences, reading trade journals, or staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, a commitment to learning is essential. If continuing education isn’t something you’re excited about, this may not be the right place for you.

We offer:

  • Competitive Compensation
  • No Selling, Just Working With Clients
  • Opportunity for Advancement through our Core Growth Plan

So, submit your resume today! So you can start your journey to mastering your craft.
