Role Summary:
The Launch Technical Support Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment of in-unit equipment during the installation process. This position will work closely with the construction team to test, verify, and document that all in-unit devices are configured correctly and that they are connecting at the appropriate speeds. The Specialist will troubleshoot unit-specific issues that arise during installation and ensure that all technical aspects are aligned with the project requirements.
We rely on our associates for flexibility and foresight, while maintaining confidentiality related to high-level systems and operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the construction team to test and document each unit's in-unit equipment configuration.
- Verify that in-unit devices are operating at the correct speeds and meeting performance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any unit-specific issues related to network connectivity, equipment configuration, or other technical aspects during installation.
- Ensure accurate documentation of test results, configuration settings, and any issues encountered during the process.
- Maintain detailed records of troubleshooting efforts and resolutions for each unit.
- Provide ongoing technical support during the installation process to ensure smooth deployment.
- Work closely with the Launch Engineers and Technical Support teams to report issues and ensure all technical tasks are on track.
- Collaborate with the NOC Manager and other stakeholders to ensure the quality and completion of technical tasks.
- Other directives as required.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of networking and network devices (e.g. switches, access points).
- Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues in a construction or installation environment.
- Ability to work effectively with construction teams and other technical staff.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure quality installations.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- High School Diploma or 2 years of experience in a technical support role.
- Certifications: CompTIA A (preferred, but not required).
