Job Description:
As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorney by managing a variety of tasks related to immigration, family, and criminal law cases. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice by handling case management, client communication, and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the attorney in preparing and filing legal documents related to immigration, family, and criminal law cases.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case preparation.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and court appearances.
- Draft correspondence, legal documents, and reports as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Utilize legal software and technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with the legal team to develop strategies and solutions for complex legal issues.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or Paralegal certification required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, preferably in immigration, family, or criminal law.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
- Proficient in using legal research tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
