Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager (MM) is a key member of the SmartLam team where initiatives and goals are achieved on-time and within stated objectives, The Maintenance Manager is expected to ensure a productive and performance-based working environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Strategy Development and Execution
l . Reports to and works closely with the Plant Manager, Production Manager and Quality
Assurance/Control team to set and execute strategies for the vision and growth of SmartLam.
2. Assist senior leadership in the development and formulation of short- and long-range Maintenance planning, policies, programs and objectives.
3. Oversee the Maintenance plan and establish procedures for maintaining high standards to ensure that standards conform to established customer and SmartLam quality.
4. Manages Maintenance budget and other related financial measures.
5. Assists in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facilities, production equipment, and machines, including but not limited to HVAC, lighting systems, plant machinery and production lines, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance.
6. Prepares work schedules, assigns work and oversees the work product while minimizing overtime and call in hours in accordance with Smart Lam’s Mission statement, goals, objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KP1's)
7. Develops and maintains a preventative Maintenance program for applicable machinery and equipment, the building and related areas within the confines of an annual budget, tracks maintenance downtime.
8. Implements a Maintenance system, ensuring both compliance to high standards and a quality focused environment, including the design and management of basic policies, programs, standards and methodologies for the Maintenance required to support quality production
9. Sets standards of performance for Maintenance and measures progress — Analyzes progress and takes corrective action
10. Directs and coordinates the Maintenance process to achieve continuous auditing of Maintenance levels in the plant
Arranges for, coordinates and manages appropriate third-party contractors support as needed. Will work with Project Managers, Engineering and Quality Assurance as needed.
12, Enforces Maintenance "rules," regulations, and policies to ensure a safe, firm, fair and consistent workplace environment
13. Works with production personnel across the plant to identify and solve Maintenance issues and improve overall Maintenance quality
14. Keeps up on technological changes relative to K PI's and maintains up to date records for all local, state, and federal mandates and inspections.
15. Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices which may include hazardous waste disposal programs. Plays a key role on internal plant Safety Teams
16. Prepares and maintains Maintenance reports for the Plant Manager and other appropriate managerial personnel. Makes recommendations where applicable.
17. Works with other plant managerial personnel to effectively maintain existing plant facilities and equipment, replaces, and/or makes recommendations and adjustments to plant facilities and equipment to Plant Manager when necessary, in accordance SmartLam plant initiatives and activities
18. Performs other duties as assigned
19. Follows safety procedures, standard operating procedures and quality policies and regulations
20. Develops and implements a Maintenance system, ensuring both compliance to high standards and a quality focused workforce
Team Development/Leadership
21. Oversee, direct and organize the overall SmartLam Maintenance department
22. Act as a liaison between SmartLam and its suppliers as it relates to all Maintenance related project requirements
23. Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
24. Recruit, hire, train, develop and evaluate support staff as required. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Ensure compliance with current federal state and local regulations. Consult with Management as appropriate.
25. Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach; assign accountabilities, set objective, establish priorities, monitor and evaluate results.

Moderate travel is required for this position. A valid driver's license is required.
