Salary: $75-85,000 (firm - dependent on experience)
Location: Must be local to Annapolis, MD and willing to come on-site 4x/week

Smartlink’s IT team is a fast-paced, dynamic group passionate about delivering high-quality technology solutions to support our employees in leading critical telecommunications systems. We are looking for a skilled Salesforce Administrator to join our team and help us maximize the platform’s capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, customizing, and maintaining our Salesforce environment and related applications to align with business needs and objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance user experiences and drive effective data management solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer and configure Salesforce to meet business requirements, including custom objects, fields, workflows, and process automation.
- Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify, deploy, and maintain best practices within Salesforce platform.*
- Administer Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports.*
- Responsible for the end-to-end the management of the Salesforce. Certinia and Sitetracker Platforms.
- Collaborate with end-users to gather and prioritize system enhancement requests.*
- Manage user profiles, roles, permissions, and security settings.*
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.*
- Analyze all business requirements and recommend appropriate applications or technology as an effective solution to all issues.*
- Assess data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed.*
- Work to create a Salesforce platform roadmap and define priorities, liaising with stakeholders.*
- Ensure that adequate unit testing and analysis is performed and documented prior to implementation to ensure all areas are functioning appropriately and meet user objectives.*
- Address user support request tickets and manage support escalation as needed with Salesforce.*
- Develop a thorough understanding of business needs by fostering relationships across business units.*
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and applications; develop strategies for improving or further leveraging them.
- Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases and features, and implement best practices.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, working closely with technical support as needed.
- Maintain professional, ethical, and company standards at all times.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Salesforce Administrator.
- Salesforce Administrator certification (Administrator, Advanced Administrator, or other relevant certifications).
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and data model.
- Proficiency in creating and managing custom objects, fields, validation rules, workflows, and process automation.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.
- Proven experience in the administration and maintenance of Salesforce systems
- Demonstrated experience with Salesforce administration and support in an enterprise production environment.
- Demonstrated experience with Salesforce security profiles and configuration, reports and dashboards, data integration tools and application integration.
- Experience in performing Salesforce upgrades and ensuring successful integration.
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Confident and articulate oral communicator and negotiator with strong customer service orientation and the ability to easily connect with all types of people.
- Highly self-motivated and directed with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, including conducting research into issues.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align business processes to organizational objectives.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage project timelines and ability to ask for reconsideration of priorities when needed.
- Strong demonstrated ability to prioritize, a commitment to tight deadlines, and the ability to multi-task.
- Proficient at MS Office.
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment, including personal flexibility in day-to-day work.
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal travel (<10%) is expected in association with performing this position.
