Job Description
SmartRent is seeking a seasoned and innovative Senior Event Marketing Manager to lead our event and trade show initiatives. This role involves planning, executing, and managing all aspects of trade show events to ensure a seamless experience for attendees while aligning with company objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to navigate complex event logistics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for our trade show presence and marketing events. This role encompasses end-to-end management of event lifecycles, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring a cohesive and impactful attendee experience that aligns with our corporate goals
- Identify and evaluate key events and sponsorship opportunities with input from sales leaders.
- Negotiate and execute contracts for large- and small-scale events, collaborating with Legal and Finance teams for vendor setups and approvals.
- Coordinate with the in-house creative team to ensure event displays and materials align with the SmartRent brand.
- Manage event budgets, including cost allocation and vendor negotiations.
- Oversee attendee registration and tracking, including securing hotel room blocks and managing rooming lists.
- Coordinate logistics, including booth setup, audiovisual requirements, and catering.
- Manage all aspects of on-site operations, addressing issues and troubleshooting as needed.
- Monitor attendee engagement and lead-generation activities to maximize ROI.
- Analyze event data to measure ROI and identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct post-event reviews and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Requires up to 25% travel to support business objectives and stakeholder engagement.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, event management, or related field is preferred
- 5 years of event marketing experience
- Experience interpreting consumer data and making business recommendations to drive event performance
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex and highly visible projects at the executive level
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, team-oriented, multitasking pro
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related equivalent experience
- Strong relationship-building and excellent customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in a similar industry (property management, home builders, IoT, etc.)
- Experience with a SaaS company
