Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Book-keeper/Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Book-keeping and payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in financial software, including QuickBooks.
Book-Keeping
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping duties, including but not limited to budgeting, technical accounting, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, financial report writing, accounts payable, payroll, account analysis, and tax preparation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Manage and reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process as needed.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and best practices
Payroll
- Process weekly/semi-monthly/bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.
- Ensure payroll is compliant with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll-related inquiries.
- Track and manage employee time-off balances, overtime, and deductions.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, Controller, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred but not required.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
Experience in manufacturing and/or distribution is a plus.
