Job Overview
Smart's Truck & Trailer Equip., Inc is growing family owned and operated Volvo, Hino and Isuzu dealership with 2 locations. We are the leader in parts sales in our AOR, selling both OEM and all makes parts. We currently have an opening at our Beaumont location for a Parts Manager. The Parts Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the branch parts department and implementation of the company established policies and procedures. Plans, directs and controls the activities of the Parts Department to ensure the overall growth and profit objectives are met. This position will work directly with and report to the Parts Director.
- Formulate the major objectives, specific plans, plan procedures and programs for the Parts Department, evaluate the department's results and performance against objectives.
- Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities
- Develops merchandising strategies to ensure the objectives are obtained.
- Formulates annual and monthly sales / profit objectives and expense budget relative to company objectives.
- Reviews and appraises the results of the activities within the department and takes appropriate actions as necessary.
- Maintains appropriate communication within and between all departments within the branch.
- Conducts regular sales meetings.
- Attends and participates in regular management meetings.
- Trains and grows parts department personnel.
- Performs other duties and task as assigned by management.
